Presidential candidate and Vermont senator Bernie Sanders introduced Run The Jewels via video link at their Coachella performance on Saturday.
Sanders called Killer Mike an inspiration and noted that the pair’s meeting on the campaign trail has been one of the highlights of his campaign. He also complimented El-P and said the pair should “get to know each other better in the months to come.” Perhaps over some bagels at Frankel’s?
Sanders wasn’t the only big name guest during RTJ’s show. Nas came out to perform his hit ‘Made You Look’ and called the pair his favorite group while DJ Shadow, Despot, Gangsta Boo and Boots all made appearances. [Via Fusion]
According to Twitter, Bernie Sanders also made an appearance during Grimes’ set at Coachella with a giant projected image of the senator and message of unity.

Run The Jewels 3 is expected later this year though the duo still haven’t confirmed a release date. The pair are guesting on DJ Shadow’s new album with the track ‘Nobody Speak’.
