“We’re really showing the world who we are now,” say the London dance newcomers.

Formation was once a word that meant orderly, uniform behaviour. Between the pop protest of a certain rollicking Beyonce single and now South London-based, LCD Soundsystem-worshipping brothers Will and Matt Ritson, the word has much rowdier connotations in 2016. Since first grabbing attention with a self-released white label 12″ EP in 2014, the pair have evolved into master crafters of sweaty, hook-filled, cowbell-clanging dance-pop tipped for great things. Need proof? Try their new single ‘Pleasure’ on for size.

“It kind of goes everywhere. There’s some real free jazz saxophone. Some ballads. Some hip-hop-esque stuff. It’s everything, man,” Will told Zane Lowe of the debut album they’re prepping at the moment, when they premiered ‘Pleasure’ on Beats 1 last night (April 20). The song now has a video as simple and effective as the track itself – one camera, one half-naked Will and the feel of a boxer going toe-to-toe in a ring. Give it a watch now and catch the band at Field Day, Lovebox and other festival dates this summer.
