Red Bull Music Academy has a launched a new project called Shattered Streams to coincide with the RMBA Festival that is currently in full swing in New York.

Every day in the month of May a new short song by a different artist will launch that, according to press release: “like William Basinski’s Disintegration Loops, dissolve over time.” But it’s not just the composition that aurally dissolves — after 24 hours, the song is taken down and a new contribution surfaces in its place.

You can choose the length of time the loop repeats on the site, ranging from one minute to the full 24 hours (or, at least as much of that time frame that you catch).
