A clean slate.

Kanye West has been cleared of the criminal battery charge that followed an incident with a photographer at LAX, reports TMZ.

On July 19 2013, West allegedly punched photographer Daniel Ramos and wrestled him to the ground, trying to take his camera. Ramos suffered hip injuries and went to hospital, subsequently filing a lawsuit against West.

West avoided a one year prison sentence when his attorney argued that he acted in self-defence, which cleared him of the attempted grand theft charge that he was facing.

He was given 24 months of informal probation, 24 anger management therapy sessions and 250 hours of community service instead. The rapper was also liable for the photographer’s medical and equipment bills.

In other Kanye news, The Life of Pablo artist is reportedly featured on a comeback album from New York’s DMX, which Dr. Dre is also reported to be working on. It’ll be the first time X has ever worked with Dre; he and West haven’t worked together since 2003’s ‘Dogs Out’.
