VHS-led nostalgia.

Rising Toronto producer and polymath Tommy Paxton-Beesley, aka River Tiber, has unveiled the video for his laid-back new single ‘West’.

Paxton-Beesley – who pops up on Kaytranada’s debut album 99.9%, on the tracks ‘Bus Ride’ and ‘Vivid Dreams’ – splices together what look like home-recorded video clips for a cosy, homely, grainy visual accompaniment to his after-hours slow-jam.

Shot and directed by Paxton-Beesley and friend Keavan Yazdani, ‘West’ also features vocals from Daniel Caesar, another up-and-coming Toronto singer-songwriter.

Having also collaborated with Pusha T and Jazz Cartier, River Tiber came under the spotlight last year when his track ‘No Talk’ was sampled by Drake on his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late album.

‘West’ is taken from River Tiber’s debut album, Indigo, which is due for release this summer.
