The producer opens up about LP9.

Radiohead’s long-time producer Nigel Godrich has shared his thoughts on one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

After teasing fans with cryptic clues, including deleting their internet presence and sending UK fans mysterious leaflets, before debuting a new single and video for ‘Burn The Witch’, Radiohead finally dropped A Moon Shaped Pool last night (May 8).

The album is currently streaming on iTunes and Apple Music, while Spotify has said they will make it available to stream on the platform “as soon as we can”.

A Moon Shaped Pool, the band’s ninth album, features 11 songs, some of which tracks might be familiar to long-time Radiohead fans. A live version of ‘True Love Waits,’ the album’s closer, was previously released on their 2001 EP I Might Be Wrong.

Director Paul Thomas Anderson has sent 35mm film copies of the ‘Daydreaming’ video to select movie theaters, including the Prince Charles Cinema in London.

Other artists have begun reacting to the album.

The new album will be released physically on June 17. Special edition and standard pre-orders are available from Radiohead’s website, which includes bonus non-album tracks and 32 pages of artwork, along with a piece of half-inch master tape from a recording session. You can also pre-order a double white vinyl version with a silver foil cover from Norman Records.
