Rihanna will help “as many students as possible” attend college in the States with a new global scholarship fund set up through her Clara Lionel Foundation.

According to USA Today, the mega star aims to help students from the US, Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Guyana and Jamaica who have already been accepted to an accredited American university for the 2016-17 academic year. The scholarship is need-based, ranging from $5000-$50,000, and will have the option to be renewed for three more years or until the qualifying students receive their bachelor’s degree.

“To be able to give the gift of an education is actually an honor,” Rihanna told USA Today. “Higher education will help provide perspective, opportunities and learning to a group of kids who really deserve it. I am thrilled to be able to do this.”

Applications are due on June 10 and the winners will be announced in August. Rihanna will donate to as many students as are qualified.
