Strippers, skinheads and skinfuls.

After revealing the track via a mysterious hotline in April, Lone has finally dropped the video for his rave-inspired single ‘Backtail Was Heavy’.

It’s a gritty, gravy-covered slice of kitchen sink realism directed by filmmaker Hugo Jenkins, and sees British actor Connor Chapman getting stuck into a pub scuffle, taking a trip to the strip club and smashing up a car with a fire extinguisher.

Jenkins said he deliberately shot the video in ambiguous locations to leave the meaning open to interpretation: “For me it was more about creating and entering the world the kid is in. We’re not sure whether he’s dreaming or it’s happening for real.”

The track is taken from the UK producer’s sixth album Levitate, which is due out on R&S Records May 27.
