Chance The Rapper is holding an event in Chicago on Saturday (May 21) called Magnificent Coloring World.
“I have something special for you this Saturday, not what you think it is,” he tweeted last night, before directing Chicago fans to his website.
The event is being held from 2 pm to 10.30 pm in Chicago but tickets – which range $40 to $60 – are already sold out. No more information is known, but there is always the possibility that it could be a giant scribble session. After all, adult colouring books are all the rage right now, with stars like Justin Bieber endorsing the craze.
The Magnificent Coloring World event ties in with the release of Chance The Rapper’s new mixtape, Coloring Book, which dropped last week and which features a contribution from Kanye West, among others.
Coloring Book is the Chicago artist’s third album and the follow-up to last year’s Surf, an album by the band Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment of which he is a member. He first made waves in 2013 with his breakthrough mixtape Acid Rap.
