Is another EP on its way?

Pearson Sound has uploaded a new track to SoundCloud, titled ‘XLB’.

A mix of rabidly percolating beats, syncopated rhythms and a nice drop around the halfway mark, this the first new music we’ve heard from the Hessle Audio co-founder in 2016. No release has been confirmed for the track, but you can listen to it below.

Four Tet, who shared the track via Twitter yesterday (May 22), gushed that Pearson Sound and UK Funky artist Champion are mixing club tracks “better than pretty much anyone in the world right now.”

‘XLB’ follows Pearson Sound’s debut self-titled album, which he released in March last year, along with the Thaw Cycle/Freeze Cycle EP, which he dropped in September.
