Worthy Farm offshoot confirmed.

Glastonbury boss Emily Eavis has confirmed plans to host a new event “in 2019 or 2018, but probably 2019,” in a new location.

“We are going to do a show somewhere else with the same team behind Glastonbury but it hasn’t got a name yet and we’re still not entirely sure what shape it’s going to take,” she told the Guardian. “For now we’re all [focused] on Worthy Farm. We’re not thinking too far down that road because we’re quite busy with this one at the moment!”

The festival has also revealed the full lineups for its main stages, which have thrown up some weird pairings typical of Glastonbury’s eclectic attitude. Skepta plays the Pyramid Stage in the slot before Irish indie rockers Two Door Cinema Club, while psych-rock outfit Tame Impala are the support for Adele’s Saturday headline slot.

Snooker champ Steve Davis was recently confirmed for a set on Worthy Farm too, and this year’s festival will also pay tribute to music icons lost in the past year, with footage from David Bowie’s 2000 performance to be screened across the site and Hot Chip set to play a DJ set in honour of Prince.

Eavis said that the festival had come close to booking Prince on several occasions. “Prince was rumoured every year, and we often came close. He confirmed about three times then pulled out in recent years. Unfortunately it never happened. I don’t know why, but I think there was always a lot of tabloid rumour which didn’t help,” she explained.

Meanwhile the festival’s dedicated dance area, Block9, will host sets from DJ Deeon, Joey Beltram, The Black Madonna and more.
