Lions, tigers and ravers.

Michael Eavis has revealed Longleat in Wiltshire as a potential venue for Glastonbury 2019.

Speaking to ITV News on Wednesday (June 1) about Longleat estate, which is near Bath and known best for its safari park, Eavis said: “It’s the most beautiful site in England, quite honestly… [it has] loads of space, more land… there’s more room up there”.

But he added there was a number of logistical obstacles which would need to be overcome before plans were finalised. “We’ve got to get licensing, get the police on board, local councils, so we’ve got a long way to go on this one.”

After boss Emily Eavis confirmed plans to launch a new festival earlier this week, he also added that Glastonbury is looking for “an alternative site for the longer term.”

This year’s Glastonbury will pay tribute to music icons lost in the past year, with footage from David Bowie’s 2000 performance to be screened across the site and Hot Chip set to play a DJ set in honour of Prince.

It was also confirmed recently that snooker champion Steve Davis will be DJing the Stonebridge Bar, where he will be spinning “leftfield” electronic music and IDM. See the full-line up.
