From her upcoming album Blood Bitch.

Earlier this month Jenny Hval announced she’d be releasing a new album via Sacred Bones in September and unveiled its first single ‘Female Vampire’.

It’s the perfect jumping off point for a record Hval described as being about “the white and red toilet roll chain which ties together the virgins, the whores, the mothers, the witches, the dreamers, and the lovers” (i.e.: menstruation).

The video is apt for its goth pop and black metal influences and features a ton of women engaging in odd ceremony that could just as easily be an overwrought beauty routine. Check out the video and Hval’s upcoming tour dates below.

Blood Bitch is out September 30 via Sacred Bones.
