The world’s biggest dance music conference reveals the first artists for 2016’s edition.

Marcel Dettmann, Rødhåd and the slightly more unlikely proposition of Craig David are among the first names announced for this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event.

The Berghain regulars and UK garage star are just some of the thousands of artists expected to be added to the bill for the five-day event over the coming months, which takes place in over 100 venues around the city.

Other names billed to appear from across the spectrum of house and techno include AnD, Blawan, Digitalism, Ida Engberg, Marcel Fengler, Miss Kittin and Nicole Moudaber.

Veterans including Paul OakenfoldSven VäthTiësto, Luke Slater, Ben Sims are also scheduled alongside Scuba, Dense & Pika and Dave Clarke.

Taking place from October 19-23, the festival will see Amsterdam techno party Awakenings host several nights with artists such as Joseph Capriati, Joris Voorn and a Drumcode party headed up by label boss Adam Beyer.

As well as the music, ADE will host its regular conference featuring over 400 speakers as well as films, exhibitions and showcases from the world’s leading gear manufacturers.

Tickets for the conference and individual events are available from the ADE website. ADE’s opening performance this year will be a collaboration between Henrik Schwarz and the Metropole Orkest.
