Well, that was muddy. 

Marvellous too, of course. Like every year at the iconic UK festival, no amount of bad weather was going to halt the festivities at Worthy Farm this weekend, as a population the size of Bath (120,000) descended on Pilton for three days of the biggest bands of the planet. It’s a cliche, but the joy of Glastonbury is there really is something for everyone. So for every lame duck on the Pyramid Stage – sorry, Muse and Coldplay – there’s tens of exciting artists, sights, sounds and indeed smells to behold elsewhere on site.

Despite a somewhat muted Friday, as Glastonbury’s traditionally very left-leaning audience woke up to the news that Britain had voted to leave the EU, this year’s event further confirmed what UK music fans already know – that Glastonbury is Europe’s biggest and best festival, with more than just music to savour and explore. Here’s what FACT photographer Carys Huws caught at this year’s event.
