Police arrived via helicopter shortly after the club closed earlier today.

Ibiza institution Amnesia was raided by Spanish police this morning (July 5), reports Diario de Ibiza.

The Spanish Guardia Civil arrived via helicopter and entered the 5000-capacity venue after 8am.

Club owner Martin Ferrer and three other people have been arrested and held at the venue in what El Mundo claims was an anti-drugs raid, however it is also thought that the tax authorities are involved in some way.

The club has yet to make a statement.
