A trailer has dropped for Donald Glover’s upcoming TV drama about the ATL hip-hop scene, Atlanta.

Created by and starring the actor/rapper sometimes known as Childish Gambino, the series has been in development for over three years and is described as a story of “two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy.” Watch a clip below.

Rather strangely, the clip is soundtracked not by an ATL artist, but by Australian producer Flume, not doing much to ease suspicions that this drama is unlikely to be an authentic head-first dive into the world of Awful Records, Thugger and co. Atlanta is due to begin on US network FX on September 6.
