Dez Dickerson and André Cymone will makes guest appearances at the shows in September.

Prince’s former band The Revolution have confirmed the dates for their reunion shows, which take place in Minneapolis on September 2 and 3.

The group – which consists of Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, Bobby Z., Brown Mark, and Matt Fink – made the reunion announcement in April, shortly after Prince’s death.

The two shows take place in First Avenue, the nightclub where Prince & The Revolution filmed Purple Rain. Dez Dickerson and André Cymone, who worked with Prince in the early stages of his career, will make guest appearances.

As well as appearing in Purple Rain and on its soundtrack, The Revolution played on several of Prince’s best records, including 1999 and Around The World In A Day. The band broke up in 1986 but have played a few shows without Prince over the years.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on Friday (July 8). Last week, the iconic shirt and blazer worn by Prince in Purple Rain sold for $96,000 each – 32 times the asking price. [via Rolling Stone].
