The producer was asked “Is your car legit?” by law enforcement in a traffic stop.

Just Blaze claims his local police department have sent him an apology and offered to buy him dinner after pulling the producer over while driving yesterday (July 7).

In a series of tweets and in a Periscope live stream, Blaze explains he was stopped and asked, “Is your car legit?” before being asked for his license and registration. “I don’t believe that we should turn a blind eye to somebody doing something wrong just because they’re a person of color,” says Blaze. “But you know what’s going on with our people right now. Why not address me as a little more of a human being, instead of me being a suspect off the bat?” Read the tweets below.
