The rap trio appear as Angry Birds characters in the game’s new trailer.

De La Soul are set to release their crowdfunded new album And The Anonymous Nobody next month, but they’ve got something unexpected for us today.

‘Action!’ is a new song the trio have made for Angry Birds Action!, the latest edition of the popular mobile phone game series. Developer Rovio even released a new trailer featuring the group reimagined as the titular birds. De La Soul seem to be pretty excited about video games lately: their recent single with Snoop Dogg, ‘Pain’, was released with a game of its own.
