Jefre Cantu-Ledesma returns with more Cocteau Twins-influenced, shimmering ambience.

Unless there’s a gaping chasm where your heart should be, you probably caught a few feelings listening to the NYC-based artist’s incredible 2015 album A Year With 13 Moons. It was one of FACT’s favorites that year, and now Cantu-Ledesma (who was previously a member of post-rock titans Tarentel) has revealed his next move.

Entitled In Summer, the new album is described as “a catalogue of photographs… snapshots of people, places, interests.” It was recorded at home last year, and highlights more of the Cocteau Twins-influenced loveliness that punctuated its predecessor’s melancholy drones and noisy ambient textures.
