Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood is also among the names booked for the festival of music, film and art.

London’s multi-venue Illuminations festival returns this October for its fifth anniversary, boasting its biggest line-up yet.

This year’s line-up is headed by The Bug, who will be joined by special guests for a show called called ‘Sirens’. Taking place at London’s Autumn Street Studios, it blurs live performance and installation, and is centred around the complications surrounding the birth of his son.

Halloween will see a night of music called ‘Blackout’, in which secret guests will perform sets in complete darkness at Oval Space, while pop act Let’s Eat Grandma will also play at the venue in a one-off “adventure”.

The Barbican will host Ukranian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk and a collaborative performance between Mexican musician Murcof and Vanessa Wagner. Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood will appear at The Troxy with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur and Indian ensemble The Rajasthan Express to perform their album Junun, which was the subject of a documentary by Paul Thomas Anderson last year.

Cult film Run Lola Run will also be celebrated, with a “Berlin-style warehouse screening party” soundtracked by guest DJ sets, while Pantha Du Prince will close the series at Brixton’s Electric with a performance of his recent album The Triad.

Taking place from October 28 – November 11, full details of the festival can be found at the Illuminations website.

Pre-sale tickets are on sale now, with general sales beginning on July 15. More acts are to be added to the bill in the coming months.
