One of the UK’s most exciting new producers returns with more “hyper-chromatic garage and pointillist footwork mutations.”

Manchester producer Rian Treanor is to release a second EP on The Death of Rave, following the release of his debut record for the label in late 2015.

According to the label, Pattern Damage once more sees Treanor create mutated 150BPM club music from the DNA of Sheffield speed garage and Chicago footwork. Think the sleek, hyper-clean lines of Mark Fell crossed with the velocity of DJ Rashad.

Treanor’s EP is the latest in a strong run of releases for the label, which this year has released an autobiographical soundtrack from Turner prize-winner Mark Leckey and an album of ambient muzak played to call centre workers.

Pattern Damage is released on on 12″ format on August 5. You can hear tracks from the record on Treanor’s mix for The Death of Rave’s recent NTS show, which can be streamed below.

Tracklist:

01. ‘Pattern A1 ‘
02. ‘Pattern A2’
03. ‘Damage B1’
04. ‘Damage B2’
