Four-piece band will release third album in September.

The Robert Glasper Experiment, a quartet led by pianist Robert Glasper, have shared the first single from their new album, ArtScience. The track was premiered on Ebro’s Beats 1 radio show on Thursday this week.

Titled ‘Find You’, the song was co-written by all four members of the band: Glasper, saxophonist Casey Benjamin, drummer Chris Dave, and bassist Derrick Hodge. The song ends with a sample of Glasper’s young son Riley discussing police brutality.

The new album follows from the band’s acclaimed Black Radio and Black Radio 2. In 2013, the Robert Glasper Experiment won the Grammy Award for best R&B album with their debut. The new album will be released via Blue Note on September 16 and can be pre-ordered via iTunes.

Earlier this year Glasper released Everything’s Beautiful, an album of Miles Davis re-interpretations made in collaboration with relatives of Davis. The album was intended to “take some of Mile’s ideas and shake ’em up, and try to show the influence of Miles and making new things.” It features Erykah Badu, Bilal, Stevie Wonder and more.
