“Sort it out,” Interscope are told via Twitter.

M.I.A has hit out at her label on social media for failing to clear ‘Bird Song’, her latest single from upcoming album AIM, for release. The track, her first collaboration with former producer and boyfriend Diplo since a bitter public falling-out and eventual reconciliation around the 10th anniversary of her breakout Arular album last year, was previously teased for release on August 12.

M.I.A dropped a Blaqstarr remix of the track last week, but the original – set for inclusion on fifth studio album AIM, out September 9 – is still yet to appear online. See her tweets below.

M.I.A. recently took MTV to task for not nominating her ‘Borders’ video for a VMA. “This is a perfect example of ‘allowed’ voice vs excluded voices,” she wrote on Twitter. The singer also recently revealed she was asked to write music for Zayn Malik’s debut solo album, with the former One Direction star now set to appear on AIM.
