Jared Leto, last seen chewing scenery as the Joker and sending dead rats to his co-stars on this summer’s comic book turkey Suicide Squad, has joined the cast of the Blade Runner sequel.
It might be okay though! He was great in Fight Club! And what about My So-Called Life? And he has that cool Hollywood band, 30 Seconds to Mars! The talent is in there, we know it.
He’ll star in the follow-up to the 1982 sci-fi classic alongside Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, who starred as special agent Rick Deckard in the first movie. Plot details are extremely scarce, but we know the story takes place decades after the original.
Robin Wright and Mackenzie Davis also star in the film, helmed by Sicario director Denis Villeneuve. Ridley Scott, who directed the original, is onboard as executive producer, and it arrives in theaters on October 6, 2017. [via Variety]
