Salem return with remix of Wolfang Tillmans' 'Make It Up As You Go Along'

As promised, the trio has returned with new music.

German photographer and Frank Ocean collaborator Wolfgang Tillmans recently revealed that witch-house pioneers Salem would return this year with both a remix of his track ‘Make It Up As You Go Along’ from his July-released EP 2016/1986.

The trio’s refix is out now and it is just as glitchy and Southern rap-indebted as the music you remember them making. They may bring that sound back later this year with their first release since 2011’s I’m Still in the Night EP.

The remix will be available on Tillmans’ next EP Device Control which is slated for release on September 16. Its title track is bookends Frank Ocean’s new visual album Endless, which was released last week. Tillmans also contributed to Ocean’s Boys Don’t Cry magazine which was released with his sophomore album Blond over the weekend.
