Draw a picture inspired by his Nightwind label and bag yourself a synthesizer.

Want a bit of Legowelt magic in your studio? Well, the Dutch producer is giving away a vintage ‘80s Yamaha synth as the first prize in a drawing competition.

Centered around “the world of Nightwind Records” theme, Legowelt is inviting professional and amateur illustrators alike to draw something inspired by his record label.

“Anything goes no matter how far fledged,” he writes on his website. “Make a geofictional map inspired by the music, take the characters out to another place , whats up with this red JEEP Wagoneer, whats going on in NomadoHaven, What is breakfast with Stravinsky like, how does plant psychology work, whats going on in Innsmouth these days, What is a logic that sequences a Feeling ???”

First prize is a Yamaha PSS 570 FM synthesizer, Legowelt CDs and tapes, and a pack of “multifunctional Nightwind Records refrigerator magnets.” Other prizes include records, a T-shirt and a guide to mind-altering plants from the northern hemisphere.

Entries close on September 27. You can find full details of the prizes and how to enter at the official Legowelt website.
