Talk about doin’ it right.

Prop-making duo LoveProps have crafted a brand new version of the iconic helmet worn by Daft Punk. It took them two years to make.

Called the GM01, the finished product was crafted by custom-made software that took LoveProps four months to make. Their open source software, SigmaFW, allows users to custom animate an LED setup with ease, including a function that will detect BPM from incoming music that will guide the light presentation.

You can read all about the process in LoveProps’ work diary, which takes you through the entire process, including the intricate building of the actual mask.

Revisit the group’s ‘Technologic’ below, the most truly appropriate track for this moment.
