The cult webseries moves to HBO with new music.

First timers and returning fans alike were treated to something new when High Maintenance made its debut on HBO this past weekend: original music from Grizzly Bear drummer Chris Bear.

Those delicate, blurry melodies you heard will return throughout the series as HBO reps confirmed to Pitchfork that Bear’s scored a lot of music “spread out sporadically throughout the season.”

High Maintenance began life as a webseries before being bought and relaunched on HBO. It follows various stories in New York, all connected by the same weed dealer known only as The Guy. Bear’s music was previously used in the webseries, but this is his first time contributing a score for it.

Watch a trailer for the series below and catch it every Friday on HBO.
