Hype Machine to Spotify creates a playlist of your old blog house favourites.

Still using music blog aggregator the Hype Machine to find and listen to tracks? There’s now a tool that will scans your favourites and turns them into a Spotify playlist.

Hype Machine to Spotify links both accounts and automatically creates a playlist based on what’s on the streaming service’s catalogue – handy if you’ve been using it for the last decade.

The tool might have its limitations. A lot of the musical content aggregated by the Hype Machine is unofficial remixes from emerging producers, a lot of which won’t be on Spotify.

However, the timing of the tool couldn’t be better: a recent partnership means unofficial remixes have just started appearing on Spotify. Still, we’re not holding out much hope that we’ll find many of our blog house favourites.
