‘Fake Love’ and ‘Sneakin’ hit streaming platforms, but no sign of ‘Two Birds, One Stone’.

Drake announced a new mixtape/”playlist” called More Life on his Beats 1 show on Sunday night (October 23), marking the announcement with debut airings of new tracks ‘Fake Love’, ‘Sneakin’ and ‘Two Birds One Stone’. Two of those tracks are now available to stream in full on Spotify and Apple Music.

‘Fake Love’ and ‘Sneakin’ featuring 21 Savage emerged on streaming platforms this morning but as yet there’s no sign of ‘Two Birds, One Stone’. This has led fans to speculate that the track has deliberately withheld, after it came under criticism yesterday for its attack on Kid Cudi, who posted an emotional statement after checking into rehab for “depression and suicidal urges” earlier this month.

The Cudi diss features the words, “you were the man on the moon, now you go through your phases / live for the angry and famous,” and Drake has been accused of mocking Cudi’s mental health struggles on the track (Man on the Moon is a reference to Cudi’s influential album of the same name). “Still never been on hiatus / You stay xanned and perked up / So when reality set in you don’t gotta face it,” he adds.

Drake also appears to take aim at Pusha T on the same song: “But really it’s you with all the drug dealer stories that’s gotta stop though / You made a couple chops and now you think you Chapo/ If you ask me though you ain’t lining in the trunk with kilos / You bagging weed with all your niggas watching Pacino.” Stream the tracks on Apple Music or listen via Spotify below.

The Toronto artist has explained that More Life will not take the form of a conventional mixtape or album, but will rather work like “playlist” – a compilation of songs that he hopes will provide a soundtrack to his fans’ lives. It will feature new music from Drake himself and other OVO label mates.
