Expect to see acts such as Tiger & Woods, Breakbot and Veronica Vasicka play in the first few weeks.

A new club called Schimanski is set to open in Brooklyn in the next month in the space formerly occupied by bankrupt venue Verboten.

As Mixmag notes, posters for the new venue have been appearing around the city with names of the artists we can expect to see at the club: Radio Slave, Tiger & Woods, Delta Funktionen, Breakbot and Veronica Vasicka are among the names.

Located at 54 North 11th Street in Williamsburg, the venue was shut down and seized by the state in March for not paying its taxes. Despite reopening briefly, the venue was eventually bought by former Pacha NYC owner Eddie Dean for $1.2 million.

“I started my nightlife career in Brooklyn, so it’s only fitting that I return here now,” he said in a press release back in July. “We are excited to take over the North 11th space in this prime location and fully put our nightlife expertise into action.”

As Billboard reported at the time, the plan is to create a venue “dedicated to the creative ethos of Brooklyn and [to] serve as an outpost for the global dance music scene.”

According to a post on Schimanski’s Twitter account, there is a pre-opening for the venue on October 31. You can register for mailing list updates at the club’s website.
