“Happy Halloween you pagans.”
Skepta has treated fans to not one, but two new tracks for Halloween – a loosie called ‘No Security’ (Halloween sound) and a collaboration with Section Boyz titled ‘Worst’.
‘No Security’ is built around an ominous synth line and samples Malcolm X: “I am a man who believes that I died 20 years ago, and I live like I’m dead already.” It also doesn’t sound too far off ‘It Ain’t Safe’ feat. A$AP Mob’s Young Lord – a track that landed two Halloweens ago before ending up on the Tottenham MC’s Mercury Prize-winning album Konnichiwa.
Skepta has also teamed up with south London’s Section Boyz for ‘Worst’, which comes with a grainy home video inspired by dystopian horror franchise, The Purge.
