The film is produced by Live Nation.

Eagles of Death Metal have announced they will star in a documentary about last year’s November 13 terrorist attack on Paris. The band was performing at Parisian venue The Bataclan when the attack occurred and some of the concert attendees were among the 89 people killed.

The film, directed by Tom Hanks’ son Colin Hanks, is called Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends) and will air on HBO next February. Nos Amis will look at band members Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme’s friendship, as well as their return to Paris a month after the attack to perform with Glamour Woman of the Year-fronted band U2. It was previously announced that the concert was filmed for HBO.

Hughes has remained in the news for controversial comments and the band was, subsequently, dropped from two French festivals earlier this year.

The Bataclan is set to re-open this month.
