New York state senator Daniel Squadron and other local politicians will join the Beastie Boys for an anti-hate rally in Brooklyn this Sunday, November 20.

They are assembling in protest of pro-Trump swastika graffiti that defaced a Brooklyn Heights playground named in honor of late Beastie Adam Yauch, aka MCA.

According to Gothamist, the swastikas and “Go Trump!” graffiti have since been painted over. This instance is one of over 700 reported incidents of hateful harrassment since Donald Trump won the US presidency on November 8, according to the Souther Poverty Law Center’s tally.

Squadron has announced that Adam Horovitz, bka Ad-Rock, will be in attendance. Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill and the Julie Ruin, who is married to Horovitz, may be there, as well. More information below.
