Where the band recorded part of their new album.

The xx will begin the new year with I See You, their long-awaited third album. Today, they provided a new glimpse inside it with their video for lead single ‘Hold On’. The video was filmed entirely in Marfa, Texas, where the band spent time recording earlier this year.

Directed by photographer Alasdair McLellan, it begins with a break-up call between a young high school couple before singers Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim take over the boy and girl’s roles respectively. Between footage of the couple’s past young love, we see clips of the band driving, skateboarding and playing with shopping carts. Just as ‘On Hold’ originally showed, this video provides a look at the band.
