“I’m petty af, yes. But this is just unnecessary!”

Rihanna has told fans to stop “putting black women against each other” after a post she liked on Instagram criticizing Beyoncé sparked rumors the two are feuding.

Though both received multiple nominations for their respective hit albums Lemonade and ANTI, the latter missed out on categories including Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year.

The fan’s original post claimed Rihanna was snubbed from those categories due to insider fears she would eclipse Beyoncé, superfans and publications immediately suspected there was beef between the two, but Rihanna quashed that in a direct response to the fan.

“I never actually read your caption, thought the pic was funny and moved right along!” the singer wrote through her Instagram account before asking fans to drop the topic and see the bigger picture. Read the tweet below.

Though she wasn’t included in those categories, Rihanna is up for multiple Grammys including Record Of The Year and seem perfectly happy about it. If anything, she should be pissed a Song Of The Year nom went to goddamn ‘I Took A Pill In Ibiza’ over her.
