Harrison Ford stars in the sci-fi sequel, due on October 6, 2017.

The first trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner sequel is here.

Starring Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, the trailer gives us a good look at how Villeneuve will be taking on the universe of Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi classic.

While the finished movie will feature Jóhann Jóhannsson’s score – which he told FACT earlier this year was “a challenge of mythical proportions” – we can’t help thinking that the music used in the trailer sounds a lot like Joshua Sabin’s Vangelis-influenced ‘Terminelis’, which was shared by Subtext Recordings last week when the label announced Sabin’s debut album Terminus Drift.
