Christmas music, chopped, stretched and looped to infinity.

The archive music specialists behind the Public Information label have crafted a Christmas-themed mix for the latest instalment of the excellent Blowing Up The Workshop series.

The tracklist is cryptic, but it includes yuletide musical standards such as ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘Mary’s Boy Child’ chopped, stretched, looped and transformed into something best enjoyed on the dankest December mornings.

The UK-based label, which was responsible for early records from Austin Cesear, IVVVO and Katie Gately, made its return earlier this year with a retrospective of early electronics pioneer Malcolm Pointon.

Listen below, and follow that up by checking out what the FACT Singles Club made of this year’s crop of Christmas music.
