Get to know the new synth ahead of its arrival next month.

Behringer’s eagerly anticipated DeepMind 12 synth is expected to find its way into the hands of the public next month, but one user has already uploaded an epic preview video to YouTube.

Clocking in at a huge two hours, Marcel Krol’s video sees him demonstrate the synth’s first 256 presets, cycling through abstract sequences, crisp leads, rich bass and drawn-out ambient pads.

Behringer revealed the affordable DeepMind synth last year, offering a 12-voice polyphonic analog synth for just $999.99 – a third of the price of Dave Smith’s recent OB-6 synth.

Since the reveal, Behringer has announced it’s planning both an $899 desktop version of the synth and an analog drum machine that takes inspiration from Roland’s classic TR-808 and TR-909 models. [via Music Radar]
