The actor’s impersonation once received a standing ovation from the pop star.

Michael Jackson will be the subject of an upcoming biopic on US TV network Lifetime about the final years of his life from the perspective of his bodyguards, The Guardian reports.

The film, tentatively titled Michael Jackson: Searching For Neverland, is based on the book Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days which was written by Motown head Berry Gordy and executive produced by Gordy’s former creative assistant Suzanne de Passe.

Though the network is infamous for its tacky biopic films, they at least got one thing right. The title role will be played by veteran Michael Jackson impersonator Navi, who is widely considered to be one of the best in the industry.

For anyone weary following Sky Network’s debacle casting Joseph Fiennes in the role, this video of Jackson giving him a passionate standing ovation should ease your mind.
