The grime icon’s new LP features Skepta, JME and more.

Wiley has released his long-awaited new album, Godfather.

The 17-track album features guest spots from Skepta, JME, Flowdan, Lethal Bizzle, Newham Generals and more, and according to an interview given to Noisey, will be the grime icon’s last LP.

“This is my last album, in theory,” he said. “You know, Wiley the brand, you’re not going to see me trying to cane the arse out of tens of Wileys, you will not. I’ll always use my money to do other, smart things.”

In an another interview with The Fader, published today (January 13), he addressed the current political climate in the USA and UK, saying:

“Donald Trump is the president[-elect] of America. Donald Trump said “grab them by the pussy.” When I hear that, I’m like, That sounds like sexual assault. But he’s the president of the United States so maybe [American people] find that funny. I don’t know.

“I know for a fact anyone in England who was running for Prime Minister, if that came out of their mouth in a campaign, they wouldn’t get elected. Even Obama, [the U.S. have] had an Obama. We will never have anyone of color living in 10 Downing Street, ever.”

Earlier this week, Wiley announced a Boiler Room show, but cancelled it six hours later.
