Get a first look at the Elektron Digitakt drum machine at NAMM 2017

An all-new instrument for beat-makers.

Elektron’s Digitakt drum machine was one of many surprises at this year’s NAMM show, offering artists a new beat-making tool to get excited about.

As the name suggests, the Digitakt isn’t an analog drum machine like the company’s Analog Four, but a new instrument with a “flexible” digital sound engine and sampling capability. It’s also got a sequencer and can control external MIDI gear.

Elektron only had a non-working prototype on show at NAMM 2017, but FACT spoke with the company to find out how the Digitakt differs from its other digital drum machine, the recently discontinued Machinedrum.

The Elektron Digitakt has an expected release date of April 2017, with a price of around $600. Find out more at the Elektron website, and stay tuned for more of FACT’s coverage from NAMM this week.
