The grime MC had previously said of Glastonbury: “Fuck them and their farm.”

Wiley has teased a performance at this year’s Glastonbury, posting a number of tweets about the Somerset festival on Saturday (January 28), while also sharing a photo of the Pyramid Stage.

“Rain or shine this year at Glastonbury is gonna be amazing because now I understand the real meaning of a festival,” he wrote, adding: “Come to Glastonbury festival I need to show you something.”

In 2013, the grime star was due to play Glastonbury but decided to cancel his performance after being put off by the rainy and muddy site conditions.

He launched an angry tirade against the festival, which took in everything from the rain and pay to his manager John Woolf. Wiley tweeted that the festival wasn’t paying him enough to “leave my comfort zone,” while also asking Glastonbury to “please cancel me I do not want to play for you ever again”.

He signed off with the now infamous message: “Fuck them and their farm”.

Wiley now appears to have completely reassessed his negative opinion of Glastonbury, claiming that he “realized the importance of this festival in an older age,” while also calling it “the champion of all festivals.”

FACT has reached out to Wiley’s representative for comment.
