Today would have been J Dilla’s 43rd birthday and to honor the occasion the makers of the new Detroit hip-hop documentary The Unseen — A Detroit Mixtape are streaming the film’s soundtrack which features unreleased music from the legendary producer.

The album was arranged by veteran Detroit beatmaker Ta’Raach and features music from Quelle Chris, House Shoes, Nick Speed and more. Dilla’s contributions include the closing ‘Ghetto Wish’ (which we premiered last week) and the album’s centerpiece ‘G Rhodes’.
