The first artist to win the award without selling physical copies.

Chance The Rapper’s Spotify streams have skyrocketed following last night’s Grammys where he picked up awards for (and performed songs from) his latest mixtape, Coloring Book.

As The Fader points out, Chance’s streams received an enormous boost in the hour following the Grammys, resulting in an overall increase by 206%. The Coloring Book track ‘How Great’, which Chance performed along with ‘All We Got’, received a 461% increase alone.

Last night, Chance took home Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance (for ‘No Problem’) and Best Rap Album. The win makes Coloring Book the first stream-only album to win a Grammy Award.

The release was only made eligible last summer when the Grammys changed its rules to allow albums streaming exclusively on major platforms to be submitted for award consideration.
