The rapper calls his fifth album “a different lane” from what came before.

After announcing it earlier this week, Future’s self-titled new album is available to hear now.

Running 17 tracks and 62 minutes, Future is the rapper’s longest album and his first without a single guest feature (EVOL and DS2 included one each).

Though Future comes less than a year after EVOL, it arrives following a relatively quiet period for the rapper. That’s not a coincidence. Future describes this album as a new direction following What A Time To Be Alive and DS2, one of our top 10 albums of 2015.

“Hopefully, this lane be longer than the lane when I had the driving force to put out those projects,” the rapper said in new interview with Zane Lowe. “I want this lane to have its own potential to be something that can surpass that.”
