The McDonaldssance continues.

Solange performed at the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival this weekend where she brought out yacht rock maestro and recent Thundercat collaborator Michael McDonald for a performance of his Doobie Brothers classic ‘What A Fool Believes’.

anyone who knows me knows that the doobie brothers are my musical/harmonic/chord change hero's and that I listen to "it keeps you running" everyday for encouragement. that was fun michael.

Solange later praised McDonald in an Instagram post calling The Doobie Brothers her “musical/harmonic/chord change heroes” and adding that she listens to ‘It Keeps You Running’ every day for encouragement. Later she shared a photo of her and McDonald backstage.

McDonald has previously performed the song live with Thundercat, who he collaborated with earlier this year on the Kenny Loggins duet, ‘Show You The Way’, from his new album Drunk.
