Q-Tip, Chuck D, DJ Premier and more pay tribute to Chuck Berry, dead at 90

Bruce Springsteen, Sky Ferreira, Vince Staples, Anderson .Paak and La Roux have also responded to the star’s death.

Musicians spanning all genres and generations have paid tribute to rock ‘n roll trailblazer Chuck Berry, whose death at the age of 90 was announced yesterday (March 18).

The ‘Maybellene’ artist was found unresponsive in his home on Saturday afternoon, before being declared deceased just an hour later, report police in St. Charles county Missouri.

Q-Tip, Questlove, Chuck D and other stars from the hip-hop world have paid their respects online, along with rock legends Alice Cooper, Ringo Starr and The Rolling Stones and alt-pop artists La Roux and Sky Ferreira. See a selection below.
